OVERVIEW

Turnkey, a full-service experiential marketing agency based in Chicago that works with some of the largest and most respected brands in the country, is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a Fleet & Operations Manager (or similar, based on applicant experience). The role will be in-office and will be based in Chicago, Illinois.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Role will include, but not be limited to: 

  • Serve as a critical piece of an account team serving the agency’s largest client 
  • Assist with over 200 activations per year for the client across sports and entertainment with a focus on transporting, installing and operating experiential marketing units (trailers, pods, shipping containers, custom-built bars, etc.) 
  • Lead fabrication efforts, at times with third party vendors, around existing and new experiential marketing units 
  • Lead ongoing troubleshooting and maintenance efforts of 20+ experiential marketing units nationwide, diagnosing problems, working with on-the-ground Turnkey staff members and local/national repair shops 
  • Track and manage budgets related fabrication, maintenance, shipping and other production related tasks  
  • Work collaboratively with the internal account team to solve problems, adhere to timelines, create meaningful consumer engagements and ultimately overdeliver for the client 
  • Lead or assist with production related tasks like warehousing, shipping, inventory, DOT Compliance, sourcing and vendor management 
  • Communicate directly and effectively with key clients and stakeholders to ensure they feel informed and confident 
  • Identify areas for account performance improvement and implement accordingly 
  • Travel to activations as necessary 
  • Assist with other Turnkey programs as time allows and as assigned 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5-15 years of experience in event production, experiential marketing, mobile marketing or similar field.  Experience level will dictate final title. 
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to think outside the box to come up with solutions. 
  • Understanding of how experiential marketing units are engineered, how repairs are best diagnosed and addressed, traditional malfunctions and mechanical failures and troubleshooting.  
  • Experience working with brand clients, communicating effectively, managing expectations, building timelines, etc. 
  • Proactive and able to focus on several different projects at once. 
  • Understanding of experiential marketing and mobile marketing best practices and requirements, including DOT Compliance.  
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours for events or projects, as required, and ability to meet deadlines. 
  • Ability to travel for events and not opposed to physical labor.
