OVERVIEW

Turnkey, a full-service experiential marketing agency based in Chicago that works with some of the largest and most respected brands in the country, is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as an Account Executive servicing an online sports betting client. The role will be based in South Florida (surrounding Miami/Fort Lauderdale areas).

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Account Executive is responsible for supporting the sponsorship activation efforts of one of Turnkey’s clients, a sports betting company.  The recognizable national brand has six current high profile partnerships and an ever expanding portfolio.

General

  • Become an expert on and immersed in the brand, ultimately becoming an extension of the client team.
  • Work directly with clients on a daily basis to understand needs, KPIs, and what you can do to help drive their business forward.

Planning

  • Together with the rest of the Turnkey Account Team, plan for activations across the calendar year and across multiple properties, including idea generation, fabrication, sourcing, staffing and implantation planning.
  • Work hand-in-hand with property partners to understanding planning elements that go into the activations, including access, load-ins and load outs, timing, etc.
  • Work with vendors such as fabricators or premium products companies to help produce elements required for the consumer experience.
  • Overcommunicate to clients in a way that they feel informed and educated on all plans and brand activity.
  • Liaison with Turnkey creative team to build plans and options to bring creative ideas to life.

Implementation

  • Serve as the key on-site contact for various sponsorship activations at sports and entertainment properties.
  • Coordinate with venue and team personnel as necessary for things like access, space limitations, power requirements, etc.
  • Oversee all details around trucking, shipping, warehousing and storage as it relates to on-site activations.
  • Manage labor process for installation and strike of all sponsorship activations.
  • Train and manage staff that engage with consumers during sponsorship activations, ultimately ensuring that they can speak fluently about the brand and any on-site promotions and drive engagement/enrollment.
  • Track results and real time.
  • Creatively solve problems as they arise on-site. 

Post-Event

  • Become an expert in how the client tracks results, including metrics specifically related to the sports betting category.
  • Update clients daily on results, problems, solutions, staff performance and any other important nuances.
  • Ensure all elements are properly transported and stored in a way that they will be ready for the next activation.
  • Track activation budgets by property in real time, providing accurate data to both the client and the Turnkey account team. 

Other

  • Work on other projects as assigned from Turnkey senior account leadership.
  • This role requires regular travel. Over 70% of that travel will be within the state of Florida.
  • Work hand-in-hand with Turnkey Finance, Legal and HR business units on all pertinent matters.
  • Be willing to work nights and weekends, as events often fall in that timeframe.


QUALIFICATIONS

Account Executive qualifications include:

    • 1-4 years experience in sponsorship activation, sponsor servicing, sports marketing or related field. Agency, team or brand experience is preferred.
    • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
    • Proactive and able to focus on several different projects at once.
    • Experience with brand activations, including on-site implementation.
    • Ability to work non-traditional hours, as required.
    • Ability to meet deadlines for time sensitive projects.
    • Comfortable with client communication on the phone, via videoconference or in person.
    • Ability to build positive relationships with clients.
    • Ability to work within a team setting.
    • Bachelor’s degree required.
