OVERVIEW

Turnkey, a full-service experiential marketing agency based in Chicago that works with some of the largest and most respected brands in the country, is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as an Account Executive servicing a large beer client. The role will be based in Chicago, IL.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Account Executive is responsible for supporting the operations and transportation and logistics efforts of one of Turnkey’s clients, a large beer company. The recognizable national brand has 15 assets under Turnkey management and an ever expanding portfolio of more.

General

  • Become an expert on and immersed in the brand, ultimately becoming an extension of the client team.
  • Work directly with clients on a daily basis to understand needs, KPIs, and what you can do to help drive their business forward.

Planning

  • Together with the rest of the Turnkey Account Team, plan for asset transports across the calendar year and across multiple client display assets, including hiring and managing a team of drivers and a fleet of vehicles/rental units.
  • Work hand-in-hand with clients and understand planning elements that go into the activations, including access, load-ins and load outs, timing, etc.
  • Work with partners such as fabricators, wrap vendors, or rental/leasing companies to help produce elements requested by client.
  • Overcommunicate to clients in a way that they feel informed and educated on all plans and brand activity, including budget and KPIs.

Implementation

  • Serve as the key contact for clients, distributors, and agency-clients
  • Coordinate with venue and team personnel as necessary for things like access, space limitations, power requirements, etc.
  • Oversee all details around staff and vehicles as it relates to on-site transports, set up, break down, cleanliness, etc.
  • Manage labor process for installation and strike of all activations.
  • Train and manage driver/tour staff on each trailer and vehicle type, including all internal Turnkey requirements and processes.
  • Track results in real time and adjust as needed.
  • Creatively solve problems as they arise.

Post-Event

  • Become an expert in how the client tracks results, including KPIs and budget.
  • Update clients daily on results, problems, solutions, unit maintenance, and any other important nuances.
  • Ensure all elements are properly transported and stored in a way that they will be ready for the next activation.
  • Track transport/event budgets by unit in real time, providing accurate data to both the client and the Turnkey account team.

Other

  • Work on other projects as assigned from Turnkey senior account leadership.
  • Work hand-in-hand with Turnkey Finance, Legal and HR business units on all pertinent matters.
  • Be willing to work nights and weekends, as events often fall in that timeframe.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Account Executive qualifications include:

    • 1-3 years experience in event/tour activation, sponsor servicing, sports marketing or related field. Agency or brand experience is preferred.
    • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
    • Proactive and able to focus on several different projects at once.
    • Experience with brand activations, including on-site implementation.
    • Knowledge of transportation and logistics related to events.
    • Ability to work non-traditional hours, as required.
    • Ability to meet deadlines for time sensitive projects.
    • Comfortable with client communication on the phone, via videoconference or in person.
    • Ability to build positive relationships with clients.
    • Ability to work within a team setting.
    • Bachelor’s degree required.
